PC Invasion is looking for dedicated, knowledgeable freelance contributing writers for all things PC and gaming. With experience, passion, and an inoffensive sense of humor, we write about what’s happening in the gaming world.
For years, PC Invasion has been a gaming outlet focused on providing the best in news, reviews, guides, and features. And you can be a part of our journey.
We’re looking for freelance writers to tackle news, reviews, and guides for new and live-service games, including (but not exclusive to) battle royales and MMOs.
We want to hear from you if you have experience in Fortnite, Minecraft, Destiny, Warzone 2, real-time strategy games, and others!
Though PC Invasion is known for its PC gaming coverage, we are expanding into SEO-focused guides across multiple platforms and providing more top-10 and “best of” lists for both games and PC hardware.
New and upcoming games/genres PCI wants to cover:
- Overwatch 2 Season 3
- Genshin Impact
- Destiny 2: Lightfall
- Minecraft
- Sons of the Forest and survival games
- Real-time strategy
- Live-service games
- Marvel Snap and other CCG
- Virtual Reality games and hardware
- Rogue-liters
- Souls-likes
Please reach out if you believe you can help cover the aforementioned games extensively and be sure to include what games you’d like to write about in your application or cover letter.
What we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:
- A strong grasp of the English language
- Open with communication
- PC hardware experience is a plus and can lead to additional opportunities
- Freelancer or writing experience
Candidates with experience in WordPress, SEO, and knowledge of Google Trends are a plus, but those with a strong penchant to learn and adapt quickly are most preferable. Hours are flexible, but participation on our site’s Trello board and Slack is necessary for optimal workflow. You’re expected to work with PC Invasion editors and incorporate feedback. This position will help you grow with experience.
We pay per published article at a minimum of 300 words each. Our tiered payment structure pays on type, with payments ranging from $11 to $60 per article.
What we need from you:
- A short cover letter (150 words at minimum) is required to be considered, addressed to Editor-in-Chief Cameron Woolsey
- If applicable, please include a news story, a guide, and a review
- Name and age; a resume is also acceptable
